Łukasiewicz follows Frankowski's steps

-I hope Elche fans will have for me as much respect as for Tomasz Frankowski. - says Łukasiewicz about his hopes for upcoming season. Former captain of polish youths followed Frankowski's steps and a few weeks ago signed 2 years contract with Elche.

I understand the coach
-At the beginning everybody asked me how is Tomasz Frankowski doing in England and if he is playing. When I said that he isnt doing very well recently they were sad. It looks like everybody miss him. I know that I have to work to be as respected as him. - says Łukasiewicz. Frankowski was liked because of his goals but Łukasiewicz in the opposite has to stops them.
-When I played friendly games I played as a defender or defensive midfielder. Im in good form but it will be hard to play in the first team because six players can play in my positions. Its hard to say who is coach going to play.
Łukasiewicz cant say if he is going to play first team football but other than that he doesnt complain. - I lived in Warsaw for 23 years so moving to little town was good. I can speak spanish. I had to learn this language quick because only two players from Elche can speak english. The most important is that I can understand the coach without any problem now.
Pole has his own nickname already - Everybody call me Luka, Lukas or Luki. First names are rarely used here - says young player - Supporters use this nickname too. They are very interested in players. Recently small group of fans started to sing a song in front of my windows. I understood only words: "Luka, Luka" - he laughs.

Alaves on Sunday
Pole can play first league game with Alaves on Sunday - I admit, I cant wait. Our aims? Primiera Division. It didnt happen last year. Thats why this year nobody speaks about promotion this year. But the press think we can go up. - adds Łukasiewicz who isnt scared of long season (42 games). - Im happy that we can play so many games. In Poland always when I started to hit my top form the round was over. Here we are playing all the time so there is chance to promote myself.

What do you think about 'Luka'? Are you pleased with this transfer?

Al principio todo el mundo me preguntaba cómo iba a ser la etapa de Franek en Inglaterra. Cuando dije que no le iba muy bien me miraban sorprendidos. Parece como si todo el mundo le echase de menos. Se que tengo que trabajar duro para llegar a ser tan respetado como lo ha sido él.- dijo Luka. Cuando he jugado partidos amistosos he actuado como defensor o centrocampista defensivo. Estoy en buena forma pero tengo que trabajar duro porque hay 6 compañeros más para luchar por un mismo puesto. Es difícil saber quien va a jugar.

Luka no sabría decir si va a jugar el primer partido pero no es cosa que le moleste. - He vivido en Varsovia durante 23 años y el trasladarme a una ciudad más pequeá ha ido bien. Puedo hablar español. Estoy estudiando español rapido porque sólo 2 jugadores del equipo saben hablar inglés. Lo más importante es que pueda comprender al entrenador sin problema alguno. Todo el mundo me llama Luka, Lukas o Luki. Los primeros nombres son raramente usados aqui - dicen los jovenes- Los aficionadosusan también este nick. Ellos (aficionados) están muy interesados en los jugadores. Recientemente un pequeó grupo de aficionados comenzaron a cantar una canción enfrente de la ventana de mi casa. Sólo entendía : "Luka, Luka"- reía.

Puede jugar Luka el primer partido de liga con tra el Alavés?. Lo admito, no puedo esperar. Nuestros anhelos? Primera división. No sucedió el año pasado. Es por esa razón por la que nadie quiere hablar de ascenso este año. Pero la prensa piensa que podemos lograrlo.- añade Luka, quién no teme una larga temporada con 42 partidos. Estoy felíz de poder jugar 42 partidos. En Polonia la liga siempre termina cuando estoy llegando a mi mejor forma. Aquí se juega todo el tiempo por lo que veo posibilidades de mejorar mi rendimiento.

Yesterday Lukasiewicz played ten minutes, and I think that he are going to play a lot of matches during this season. Elche has four or five more players for the same position, so it will be difficult to play but we hope all turns out well and Lukasiewicz grow as player in Elche.

Matusiak is called by Beenhakker to National Team on matches in ECQ againts Finland and Serbia. Franek too
Matusiak decided to stay in GKS Belchatow so i think that you hadnt possibility to buy him.

I hope Lukasiewicz will be useful player for Elche. He is very happy that he plays here, it's very important.
